TCQi Counterflow Industrial

The TCQi is an Industrial Counterflow Cooling Tower with a twin-fan, induced-draft configuration. Two fans allow staged airflow control across operating loads and provide resilience if one fan is offline. A Twin Fan configuration also helps to manage efficiency by allowing your BMS to switch off one of the fans while the cooling requirements are low.

TOTAL: 56 Products

What it’s for

Use the TCQi where you want a compact counterflow tower layout, practical capacity control, and straightforward maintenance access. It suits applications where footprint, redundancy, and predictable performance matter more than a single large fan.

Key advantages

  • Staged operation: run one or both fans to match load and reduce unnecessary power use.
  • Operational resilience: maintain partial cooling capacity during planned maintenance.
  • Compact counterflow form factor: useful when plan area is constrained.
  • Balanced airflow: twin fans can help distribute air more evenly across the fill.
  • Retrofit-friendly: suitable where access, lifting, and installation constraints drive the design.

Typical applications

  • Commercial HVAC and building services
  • Industrial process cooling
  • Refrigeration plants
  • Mining, oil & gas, food & beverage, and data centres

Configuration options

Each TCQi is selected to match the duty and site constraints. Options typically include:

  • Single or multi-cell arrangements for redundancy and future expansion
  • Fill selection to balance thermal performance and fouling tolerance
  • Drift control configuration to reduce carryover
  • Materials and corrosion protection to suit water quality and environment
  • Fan and drive selections aligned to noise, efficiency, and maintenance expectations
  • Access and safety provisions to support inspection and cleaning

What we need to size and quote

  • Heat load (kW) or hot/cold water temperatures and flow rate
  • Project location (design wet bulb) and operating profile
  • Available footprint, height, and any lifting/access limits
  • Noise constraints (nearest receptors and time-of-day limits)
  • Water quality, filtration approach, and treatment regime
  • Electrical supply details and control preference (staging/VSD/BMS integration)

Support and lifecycle services

Tower Thermal supports cooling towers with parts, repairs, performance testing, audits, inspections, and upgrade work to keep equipment reliable over its service life.
