Cooling Tower Installation - Scope of work:
The scope of work is for a comprehensive engineered approach to a complete turnkey solution for the supply and installation of new cooling towers whether a new site or replacement.
Once you've accepted the quote, our preliminary approach to installation includes a a site survey, design work, drawings as required and laser leveling mating foundations. This sets up the foundation for a very smooth and hassle-free cooling tower installation. What follows is for the cooling tower to be installed with cranage, piping, electrical, supports, including retrofitting, removal, re-commissioning any old structures. Where possible, we always strive to provide a safer service height by mounting the cooling tower directly onto mating concrete or steel surfaces instead of raised supports. Accessories for variable speed drive for fan speed control, pumps and water treatment are available.
Typical Scope of Installation Work Specification
The installation scope we provide varies from site to site and needs to be individually assessed and specified. However as a guidelines, the following is an example of what's included in the typical scope of work.
Replace an existing steel / fiberglass (FRP) / Galvanised Steel Cooling Tower with a new Tower Thermal Quietflow® Cooling Tower, or Fiberglass (FRP) Cooling Tower of equivalent heat rejection capacity.
Scope of work to include:
- Laser level existing concrete ground pad for the supply of leveling packers and rubber waffle pads for Cooling Tower and Pump. The maximum deviation of +/-50 mm. Excluded for existing steel / concrete basins / intended support structures – assumed to be level.
- New steel foundations; structurally design checked and certified where applicable or re-use and modify existing steelwork.
- Remove old Cooling Tower, redundant pipe, and steelwork to ground.
- Place new Cooling Tower into-situ.
- Reconnect pipe plus new pipe, brackets, isolating valves, check valves as required.
- Connect drain and overflow to sewer; mains to water make-up.
- Reinstate, modify, resupply any existing walkways, and grating as required.
- Cranage for unloading and in-situ placement.
- General water side commissioning. Excludesingwater treatment.
- Demolish and remove from site old Cooling Tower, old materials, and debris.
