Counterflow cooling towers move air upward while warm water flows downward through the fill. This opposing flow supports efficient heat rejection in a compact footprint, making counterflow a solid option where space is tight or an existing basin needs to be reused.

How Counterflow Cooling Towers work

Warm water is distributed at the top over the fill. Air passes upward through the fill, a small portion of water evaporates, and the remaining water cools and collects in the basin before returning to the process.
