Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) are available to give tighter temperature control and lower running costs by matching fan speed to actual heat load and ambient conditions, rather than running at full speed all the time.

Reduce energy consumption by slowing fans during low load or cooler ambient conditions.
Improve temperature stability by modulating fan speed to maintain condenser or process water setpoints.
Lower mechanical stress by soft-starting and reducing frequent hard starts, which can extend motor and drive component life.
